Coach Maddy
Maddy is a junior at the University of Arkansas and has an extensive background in competitive cheer. She cheered with Woodlands Elite for approximately eight years, where she was a flyer on a Worlds team. Woodlands Elite is the largest competitive gym in Texas, competing at the highest level. During her years with WE, Maddy was on teams that won NCA, placed in the top at Summit and Worlds, and won Jam Fest and other prestigious competitions. She was also a co-captain of her high school cheer team, leading them to first place at the Texas State Spirit Competition and Nationals.
In addition to her competitive cheer experience, Maddy has transitioned into coaching and has made a significant impact. For the 2024/2025 season, she has been the head coach of both the youth competitive cheer team, Team Barbie, and the Tiny Novice Cheer team. She has also served as the assistant coach for the Senior Competitive Cheer team, Mean Girls. In her first year coaching Mean Girls, the team has dominated the competition, winning their division in all three competitions, earning Grand Champion twice, securing High Point twice, and ranking as the 4th best team nationally out of hundreds of teams. Under her leadership, Team Barbie has also seen tremendous success, winning their division in the highly competitive Youth Level 1.2 category, earning a Grand Champion title, and winning High Point.
Beyond coaching, Maddy also teaches tumbling classes for both recreational and competitive cheer students, helping athletes develop strength, technique, and confidence in their skills.
Maddy’s passion for cheer, both as an athlete and a coach, continues to drive her success and inspire the athletes she works with.
